THE TRUTH ABOUT AI

As a seasoned marketing guy, I look for how to exploit the margins and build campaigns around them. I always have had this mindset. When a new opportunity to help market and sell a new AI driven software platform, I was intrigued.
It’s not as easy as it sounds. And the more I thought about it, I realized I needed to pivot my thinking and the brand message because each of us has a different idea of what Artificial Intelligence is and what it does.
Hint: There’s a lot more to Artificial Intelligence than my BFF, ChatGPT. I love ChatGPT…but there’s a lot more.
When I was introduced to JAGBots.AI, an AI driven technology platform designed to be a digital virtual assistant for businesses that offer services and products and have clients calling and texting at all hours of the day and night. If no one is available to answer the phone, the caller either has to leave a voicemail, be left on hold, or have the phone answered by someone who has not been trained well. That’s frustrating for the client, and it happens too often. I sensed an opportunity.
But I had to get past the tech side of Artificial Intelligence. Recently, Nord Media noted that AI is like flipping on the lights in a messy room. It does not create chaos. It just makes it impossible to ignore. And that’s what is happening right now. AI is not going to tank your performance, but it will expose the gaps we’ve been papering over. One of those gaps is how businesses let their clients do business with them.
AI scares some buyers and confuses others. I needed a new hook. I challenged myself to better understand what AI really is and decided that it’s not artificial. It’s programming written by humans. But software companies have downplayed the human element of AI. Their marketing messages focus on what their brand of AI can do, and not about how their platform can help the client solve their pain points.
The software companies have tried to lump AI into one huge blob. The truth be said, AI is a technology with many tentacles and each tentacle has been created for a specific purpose. So, I renamed it INTELLIGENT TECHNOLOGY, because that what artificial intelligence is, and IT is not so scary.
The JAGBots tentacle is focused on helping businesses stay better connected with their clients, stepping in when a human connection is not available, yet, mimicking the human and sometimes actually outperforming the human. And the good news is that it never needs retraining because it continually learns with every information update and every interaction with a client.
Then, I needed to humanize the virtual assistant because people want to hear a pleasant voice or humanized text responses, now and not later. Face it, the last thing you want to hear is a recorded message saying, “Sorry no one is here. Leave a message and we’ll call you back when we can.” Marketing can do better.
I named our virtual assistant MONIQUE, because it has a warm, friendly ring to it. Her tag line is “She’s smart, always learning and never sleeps.” The sub-headline is “Now your business is open 24/7/365.” All this for just $10 per day.
